Danny Noyes heads into his 12th year as the head coach of Colby's men’s and women’s alpine ski teams in the 2018-19 academic year. He is a 2002 graduate of Colby College and was the EISA Alpine Coach of the Year after the 2009-10 season.

"Colby is a special place to extend yourself not only within academic endeavors, but athletic ones as well," reflects Noyes. "The Alpine program has a strong history of competitiveness and performance, and I feel we have taken it a step further in recent years to establish ourselves on the hill. Colby has made a mark at the national level and will strive to further that mark in the coming years. We have the talent to be competitive and win podium positions at EISA carnivals, and we hope to attract those motivated and gifted athletes who want to make a difference and have their impact felt."

Noyes has had 34 Colby skiers - 17 men and 17 women - qualify for the NCAA Skiing Championships in his first 11 years with the Mules. He has had 12 All-American skiers (seven men, five women). The Colby women had a full team of three and finished sixth in the country and first among Division III schools at the 2014 championship meet. The Mules had a full men's team of three skiers at the 2013 event.

Prior to coming to Mayflower Hill as the head coach of the alpine program, Noyes
was the head coach of the alpine ski teams at Colby-Sawyer College for two years. He also had assistant coaching stints at St. Lawrence University and his two years ('01-'02, '02-'03) with the Mules. As an assistant under previous coach Mark Godomsky, Noyes worked with Colby All-American skiers Warner Nickerson, Rob Saunders, Jenny Lathrop, and national champion Abbi Lathrop.

In addition to previous coaching duties, Noyes served as president of the USCSA’s MacConnell Division for two years while he was at Colby-Sawyer. He also holds referee and alpine official certification for the United States Ski Association.

Noyes had an outstanding athletic career at Colby. He was the men’s Millett Award winner, given to the senior who has contributed the most to Colby athletics in their four years. Noyes still holds football career receiving records for yards in a game (209), season (977) and career (2,466). His 65 catches in 2001, 164 career receptions, and 80-yd run fromscrimmage are also school records. Noyes earned first team honors from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the New England Football Writers after his junior and senior seasons.

Danny currrently resides in Augusta, Maine, with his wife, Erin, and sons Anderson, Nolan, and Davis.
