Russell, Treveloni, Wessman strong in loss to Polar Bears

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Andrew Russell had a double and triple for the Colby College baseball team in an 11-3 loss to Bowdoin College in NESCAC East play Friday at Coombs Field.
Russell also scored two runs for Colby and stayed hot to raise his average to .341. Matt Treveloni went 2-for-4 to raise his batting average to .388, good for sixth in the NESCAC.
William Wessman was 3-for-4, scored a run, and drove in one run for the Mules.
Max Vogel-Freedman pitched a complete game, struck out seven, and walked none to lead Bowdoin.
The Polar Bears (12-16 overall, 5-5 NESCAC East) and Colby (5-20, 1-9 NESCAC East) will play again Saturday in Brunswick in a doubleheader at noon. 
Eric Mah and Austin Zakow both went 3-for-4 and had a pair of doubles. Zakow drove in two runs and scored, while Mah had two runs. Connor Lee also went 3-for-4, scored twice, and drove in two runs.
