Field hockey team to once again play tough schedule this fall

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Colby College field hockey team plays eight games against top 20 competition and will begin the season with a home game on Wednesday, Sept. 5, against Husson University at Bill Alfond Field.

The Mules, under head coach Kelly Terwilliger, will play six opponents in the final NCAA regional ranking from last year, three conference champions, four teams from the NCAA Division III Tournament, and last year’s national champion.

Colby opens the season with three straight home games. After the Husson contest, the Mules entertain Tufts University on Saturday, Sept. 8, and play host to Thomas College on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Colby finished 9-6 overall and 4-6 in the NESCAC with a young team. The Mules graduated just two seniors and return All-NESCAC forward Georgia Cassidy (pictured).
