Waterville, Maine - Welcomed by crosstown hosts Thomas College, the Mules moved to 2-0 in the early season with a score of 6-2.
Starting off knotted at a 0-0 deadlock after the first quarter, the Mules entered the second quarter of play firing and finished with a 4-0 lead. Thomas opened the second half with two quick goals, but the Mules answered back and stopped the charge.
First year Kaitlyn Smith and Junior Lauren Walter each sent two goals to the back of the cage, while Eliza Mell and Emily Hogan each scored their first goals of the season. Assists were added by Georgia Cassidy, Delaney Keithley, and Hogan.
"Great team play, we're really impressed with adjustments the group made from Saturday's match," said Head Coach Kelly Terwilliger. "Four different goal scorers and first collegiate goals for Smith. Lots of good stuff to continue to build on."
The Mules next play Saturday when they play host to the Bantams of Trinity College.
