Reiter, Hwang, help Mules take down Bantams for conference win

HARTFORD, Conn. – Colby men's tennis picked up their first NESCAC win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Trinity. Playing outside despite rain earlier in the day, the Mules jumped to an early 2-1 lead in doubles play with victories for pairs Max Schuermann / Garrett Reiter and Hans Hwang / Luis Gonzalez Kompalic. Colby never looked back, taking five out of six singles sets including dominant two set wins from Scott Altmeyer, Sumukh Pathi, Reitter, and Jonathan Hallal, as well as an exciting win for Hwang in a third set tie-break.

Colby, who moved to 5-7 overall, looks to keep its strong play going at home on Tuesday against Franklin Pierce (4:00pm EST).
