Clinton, N.Y. - The Colby College Women's soccer team fell to Hamilton College on the road 5-1 and drop to 2-3-2. Hamilton improves to 4-2-1, 2-2-1 in NESCAC play.
Colby entered the contest with one of the league's best deffenses, proven a week ago when goal keeper Shannon Gray was named NESCAC Player of the Week for shut outs against Bowdoin and Trinity. Giving up three goals last weekend to Tufts still gave the Mules only three goals against over the last four games. Hamilton entered the contest ready to break that pattern.
Playing in front of their "Fallcoming" crowd, the Continentals struck for two goals in the first half and three in the second before sophomore Charlotte White (pictured) found the back of the net for her first goal of the season. Fellow sophomore Hallie Schwartzman assisted on the goal.
Hamilton out-shot Colby 26-9, putting 13 on goal.
Colby is remains on the road but returns to Maine, as the Mules visit the University of New England on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM battle.
