GENEVA, Ohio – Sophie Stokes Cerkvenik qualified for the 100 m hurdles finals at the outdoor track and field national championships. Only nine of the 22 athletes competing in the event qualify; the top runner in each of the three heats and the next six fastest times across all heats advance. Stokes Cerkvenik, who entered competition as the sixth ranked runner in the field, qualified for the finals in sixth with a time of 14.24. She races the finals at 12:50 PM (EST) on May 25th.
Rachel Leonard also competed for the Mules. She ran the 400 m and just missed qualifying for the final in a tightly packed field, finishing 17th.
